Give me flowers
«Give me flowers» is a premium beach/bath towel collection inspired by Postfolk's unexpected combination of Greek folk flower motifs and the Japanese ancient secret language of flowers called Hanakotoba (花言葉).
Hanakotoba (花言葉), is the mystical Japanese ancient flower language in which every flower has a very specific meaning. A practice of unspoken communication that conveys emotions and messages through flowers without the use of words.
Additionally in Greek folk culture, flower motifs that were found often in decorative tapestries such as Karpathian style Stylomantila, have their symbolic meanings too. Love, passion, beauty, blooming, trust and healing are only some of them.
Meanings have been attributed to flowers for thousands of years and floriography has been practiced in many traditional cultures throughout the world.
